How to Play Baccarat

The aim of the card game Baccarat is to bet on one of the following predictions, the players hand will win, the bankers hand will win or the game will result in a tie.

The player or banker would win by getting a point value closest to 9. In Baccarat all face cards and tens count as zero, all other cards count as their stated number value and Aces count as one. The hand with the highest point value wins but the highest total any hand can have is nine. Two cards that total nine is referrred to as a 'natural.' A natural cannot lose. The second best hand is is also called a natural but it totals eight. In the case of the player and the banker being dealt the same hand, ie a tie, its called a 'standoff.' In this case neither person can win.

Remember, you are not playing against anyone, you are playing to predict the outcome of the game. As a player, you are able to bet on yourself, the banker or a tie. Both you and the banker are dealt a two card hand. If a natural is not dealt then a third card is dealt to the banker and/or the player. If the hand totals more than ten points then you subtract the ten, the remainder is the Baccarat value of the hand. For example 8 plus 8 equals sixteen so that would count as six in Baccarat, Queen and 7 would count as 17 which counts as 7. If either players are dealt a natural then there is no need for the third card to ever be drawn.

Remember the best way to become familiar with a game is practice, practice, practice. All casinos that we endorse have a play for fun option as well as a play for real money option so you can practice and then go on to win for real!
